It's a New Day for the Chamber in 2010
Business Services for all of Dunwoody in one convenient place.
Dunwoody has had a thriving business community since it was just a remote farming village. It is no accident that the Chamber of Commerce in today's City resides in the Last Rail Hand House (Dunwoody's first corporate housing) down the block from where the first general store once stood.
Businesses that join the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce are making a public commitment to build up our new city side-by-side with the residential community. Many of the city's business owners are homeowners and residents themselves. Chamber Members are providing for the growth and well-being of our city by:
- paying taxes to the City of Dunwoody, including licensing fees, which keeps homeowners' taxes down
- providing jobs, often to Dunwoody residents
- ensuring the goods and services Dunwoody residents have come to rely on are readily available
The Chamber was founded so that the business community would have a voice in the development of the city. Unlike homeowners and residents, businesses cannot vote for candidates or a referendum. Yet it is the business community that makes comfortable residential living possible. The Chamber uses its collective voice to express business needs and engage in a dialogue with residents so that all of our needs are met and in balance.
Support your Chamber of Commerce and its Members, and you strengthen the entire City of Dunwoody!
